class=\"callout-right\">\n<h3>The New Investigator Award<\/h3>\n<p>New Investigator Awards go to outstanding UNMC scientists who in the past two years have secured their first funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense or other national sources.<br \/>\nNew Investigators also had to demonstrate scholarly activity such as publishing their research and\/or presenting their findings at national conventions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Name:<\/b> Christine Eisenhauer Ph.D.\n<li><b>Title:<\/b> Assistant professor, UNMC College of Nursing-Northern Division\n<li><b>Joined UNMC:<\/b> January 2010\n<li><b>Hometown:<\/b> Crofton, Neb.<\/ul>\n<p><b>Research focus:<\/b><br \/>\nCardiovascular health promotion<\/p>\n<p><b>The goal of my research is:<\/b> To investigate mobile health technologies that promote self-monitoring of eating and activity for weight loss in rural, mid-life men.<\/p>\n<p><b>My research will make a difference because: <\/b>Tailoring effective mobile health technologies for midlife men to use in self-monitoring their eating and activity for weight loss addresses an important rural health disparity &#8212;
