There is no question about it, One Chart has dramatically changed the way the medical center provides care to our patients and how our clinicians complete their work on a daily basis. Nebraska Medicine is committed to making the user experience for the electronic health record (EHR) as efficient and effective as possible. Our goal is to increase satisfaction for clinicians while simultaneously improving the care we provide. <\/p>\n

Hearing from clinicians about what is going well and where there is opportunity for improvement is critical to optimizing One Chart to best fit our organization’s needs. That’s why we joined the KLAS Research Arch Collaborative, which partnered with more than 150 health care organizations to develop a standard survey for electronic health record experience. The survey can be benchmarked across organizations and provide valuable information to improve the clinician experience and the effectiveness of the tool overall. This is the first time since 2013 that a survey has been conducted at Nebraska Medicine regarding One Chart.<\/p>\n

The experience survey<\/a> is designed for clinicians who spend a significant amount of their time documenting notes and\/or flowsheets – particularly physicians; advanced practice providers; nurses; case managers\/care coordinators; respiratory, physical, speech, occupational and respiratory therapists; pharmacists; nutritionists; social workers; behavioral health team members; and other licensed health care professionals. Clinicians should have received a request to respond in an email from physician leaders or their supervisor. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and will remain open through at least March 31. It will be extended until at least 20 percent of clinicians have responded. <\/p>\n
