Earth Month is officially underway and LiveGreen does not want you to forget about the upcoming opportunities. They are all free to attend, have freebies and\/or free services, and will leave you and the world a better place. Know all the details by clicking on the links below.<\/p>\n

Join Peter Pellerito today at noon<\/a> in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater to learn some simple stretching techniques that can keep you active, make you feel better, and prevent pain. If you spend a good portion of the day sitting and doing the same thing (looking at a computer screen, for example), this is for you.<\/p>\n

Seen the BCycle stations on campus? They are a great way to move across campus, run an errand, get lunch, or get a little exercise. Join us on Wednesday, April 17<\/a>, in the student plaza, and we’ll give you a free<\/i> membership. We’ll also have free helmets, free snacks, and free information, and you can ride an electric assist bicycle, which will be coming to a BCycle station near you.<\/p>\n

We will celebrate Arbor Day<\/a> (early) on April 19 with a tree planting, a tree and wildflower seed giveaway, and by having master gardener Susan Siebler on hand to answer your gardening questions.<\/p>\n

It wouldn’t be Earth Month without the ever-popular (electronic, battery, techno trash) recycling\/shredding event for your personal items. As before, we will host this on two days at different times to try and help fit a variety of schedules. Almost all items are free, but for costs and details (some of which have changed), please visit our website<\/a>. We will still be collecting Little Free Library books, pop tabs, eyeglasses, and helping out the Maverick Food Pantry.<\/p>\n

The RePurpose It Contest<\/a> is back — with a twist. Projects must include periodical storage items<\/a> no longer being used by the McGoogan Library. We have some creative entries — vote here<\/a> to help determine a winner.<\/p>\n
