More than 200 UNMC employees attended the Administrative Professionals Day event “Hats Off to You” last month. <\/p>\n

Many updates and modifications were made to this year’s event based on feedback from the 2018 event survey, organizers said, including forming a planning committee, providing healthier food options and taking group photos. A survey to comment on this year’s event will be sent out next week.<\/p>\n

The event was live streamed and recorded so that those on off-site campuses could still view the presentations. Both sessions opened with a rousing motivational speech given by “Ms. Ella” Amanda Chapman. “Ms. Ella” is the CEO of Ella Inspires and encourages all men and women to find power in their purpose. Following “Ms. Ella,” attendees chose to attend one of two sessions — Anna Marie Mann showed the audience how to discover and use their strengths and Kathleen Kallstrom-Schreckengost spoke on the importance of self-care.<\/p>\n

Both events concluded with a presentation by representatives from CA Short, the external managers for UNMC’s Employee Reward and Recognition program, People Are Everything. <\/p>\n
