He completed his residency in otolaryngology at UNMC. Dr. Hatch went on to complete a fellowship in neurotology\/skull base surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hatch&#8217;s research interests include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cochlear implant outcomes and quality of life metrics;\n<li>Imaging of the temporal bone;\n<li>Vestibular disorders such as Meniere&#8217;s disease; and\n<li>Skull base disorders.<\/ul>\n<p>In his time away from work, Dr. Hatch enjoys snowboarding, obstacle racing, and mountain biking. He is originally from Heber City, Utah.<\/p>\n<p>This cafe is in partnership with the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. <\/p>\n<p>Science Cafes involve a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. They are open to everyone (21 and older) and take place in casual settings like pubs and coffeehouses. Each meeting is organized around an interesting topic of conversation. A scientist gives a brief presentation followed by a Q-and-A period.<\/p>\n<p>Pizza will be provided for the first 50 people.
