{"id":65190,"date":"2019-06-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2019\/06\/04\/livegreen-bus-route-updates\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T17:33:34","modified_gmt":"2022-09-02T22:33:34","slug":"livegreen-bus-route-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2019\/06\/04\/livegreen-bus-route-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"LiveGreen: Bus route updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>As you may have heard, Metro announced changes to several bus routes, which went into effect last week.  <\/p>\n<p>These changes will help to provide additional services on routes that are busy, increase frequency where needed, and will eliminate the last bus on a few routes that were rarely being utilized.  <\/p>\n<p><UL><br \/>\n<LI>Route 24 service will be increased to run every 15 minutes on 24th Street between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. If you live near this route and couldn&#8217;t make a connection work to make it to the Med Center, that may have changed.<\/p>\n<p><LI>Routes 35 &#038; 36 will be restructured to provide a new north\/south connection in the Midtown area along Park Avenue. In addition to helping travelers move north to south more efficiently, it should be easier to intersect with routes feeding the Med Center.<\/p>\n<p><LI>All routes with late-night service will be reduced by about one hour on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Interested in a free ride to work, drop-off right in front of a building, and not paying for parking? We are here to help, by finding a personalized route just for you. Whether it&#8217;s a route close to your home or a park and ride (you park at a mall, church, etc. for free and catch the bus there-like a shuttle!) we can provide you with the best option for your schedule. <\/p>\n<p>You make the call on whether you want to give it a try, but at least you&#8217;ll know your options. In addition to saving money, you&#8217;ll have time to do whatever you want on the bus because you aren&#8217;t driving, decrease your stress, and save gas\/maintenance time and costs on your vehicle. We also provide a free emergency ride home if you need it.  <\/p>\n<p>Want to see your route?
