Gold, M.D., and the UNMC Department of Human Resources will host an employee ice cream social on Sept. 19 to celebrate the strong participation in this spring&#8217;s RESPECT Employee Engagement Survey.<\/p>\n<p>UNMC faculty and staff are invited to stop by the ice cream truck, which will be parked by the UNMC Ice Rink in Omaha, from 3 to 6 p.m. Dr. Gold will be on hand to greet employees between 3 and 4 p.m. Employees must show their ID to receive an ice cream treat.<\/p>\n<p>UNMC employees in Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney and Scottsbluff will have their own celebratory events; those dates and times will be announced at each campus.<\/p>\n<p>More than 72% of employees participated in the RESPECT Employee Engagement Survey, which found that the vast majority of UNMC employees like their work and report a strong sense of accomplishment.<\/p>\n<p>The survey also found that some employees do not believe there is adequate, timely and effective communication within their areas, and some do not regard their pay as fair and do not have a good understanding of pay practices.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about the results in <a
