Sorrell Center for Health Science Education on the northeast corner of 42nd and Emile streets. Free parking is available two blocks south of Leavenworth St. in Lots 62 and 64. The lots are just north of Mason St. between 38th Ave. and 40th St.<br \/>\nThe demand for allied health professionals and nurses is high as all fields face a staffing shortage. The event will enable prospective students to talk with current students, as well as faculty, and learn first-hand about these careers. Students will get to experience some of the new technology used in the classroom.<br \/>\nAllied health professionals &#8212; which include physical therapists, radiographers, medical laboratory scientists, physician assistants and sonographers &#8212; make up approximately 60 percent of the health care workforce.<br \/>\nPre-registration is required for the free Backstage Pass events.<br \/>\nStudents will have the opportunity to hear about the professions and engage in interactive booths with activities that demonstrate what each profession is like. Admissions staff will be on hand to answer questions about applying to one of the programs. &nbsp;<br \/>\nThe professions represented are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cardiovascular interventional technology;<\/li>\n<li>Clinical perfusion education;<\/li>\n<li>Cytotechnology;<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic medical sonography;<\/li>\n<li>Genetic counseling<\/li>\n<li>Magnetic resonance imaging;<\/li>\n<li>Medical laboratory science;<\/li>\n<li>Medical nutrition education;<\/li>\n<li>Nursing;<\/li>\n<li>Physical therapy;<\/li>\n<li>Physician assistant;<\/li>\n<li>Radiation therapy;
