Migrating these building panels will apply to every card reader and alarm on campus, but will not affect functionality for our end users. Expected building down times will occur during the following time frames:<br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI>Tuesday, Feb. 18, 4 to 6 a.m.<br \/>\n<LI>Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2 to 6 a.m.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p>During this time, card access services and alarms will be temporarily impacted. During the data download required for this process, card access readers on some secured areas will be unavailable for approximately 10-30 minutes, depending on the amount of data in that particular area.<\/p>\n<p>Panic alarms, AED alarms, and intrusion alarms will experience brief outages during these times. Emergencies during these time frames will need to be called into the dispatch center via telephone at 9-5555.<\/p>\n<p>Most card readers will continue to function for card access during down times. Certain doors will be unable to be unlocked from the outside for a short period during the migration, in particular many exterior doors to UNMC academic areas and non-critical buildings and highly sensitive secured areas.<\/p>\n<p>Applications that use card readers such as Kronos, or crash carts, will not be impacted during the upgrade. Public elevators that do not use card access will not be impacted. Fire alarms also will not be impacted.<\/p>\n<p>We have deemed the following areas sensitive, and will be migrating them manually: Hixson Lied(NICU), Clarkson Tower (Pathology), University Tower (Blood Bank), DRC2 (NPHL). These areas will have a designated police officer on hand to ensure our campus is safe and secure during this time. Also, all the Comparative Medicine research areas can expect some downtime from 4 to 6 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to <a href=\"mailto:PhotoID@UNMC.edu\">the ID
