The UNMC Clinical Translational Research Mentored Scholar Program<\/a> (CTR-MSP) is currently accepting applications for members of the university faculty to join the program.<\/p>\n

The program offers a master’s or Ph.D. track designed to develop scientists or health professionals who are at the junior faculty stage into productive and independent clinical and translational researchers by providing mentored research training.<\/p>\n

The application deadline to join the program is April 24.<\/p>\n

The CTR-MSP at UNMC was created in 2007 to develop scientists or health professionals who are early career faculty stage into productive and independent clinical and translational researchers. The overall aim of the program is to provide multidisciplinary didactic education and practical research grant training to early career faculty, who intend to develop a career in clinical translational research, in order for them to acquire the skills to design, implement, and report ethically sound research. <\/p>\n

CTR-MSP scholars also can apply for the program’s Pilot Research Projects, which provide $25,000 through the university in pilot grant funding for CTR-MSP scholars to generate preliminary data needed for successful extramural grant applications.<\/p>\n

The grant applications are open to CTS-MSP scholar holding a faculty appointment at any college at UNMC at the time of admission to the program. Early career faculty (e.g. M.D., D.P.H., Pharm.D., Ph.D.) with a rank of assistant professor shall be given preference. A minimum of 0.25 FTE protected time is required.<\/p>\n
