The remaining households will receive a paper questionnaire soon. Now, maybe more than ever, completing the 2020 Census is critical for the health and safety of all Nebraskans.  <\/p>\n<p>See a public service announcement from University of Nebraska President Ted Carter:<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GvkvQkT1lSQ\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to George Washington University&#8217;s Institute of Public Policy in their national report <a href=\"https:\/\/gwipp.gwu.edu\/sites\/g\/files\/zaxdzs2181\/f\/downloads\/IPP-1819-3%20CountingforDollars_NE.pdf\">Counting for Dollars<\/a>, close to $4 billion in funding, per year, for the next 10 years is returned to Nebraska based on the 2020 Census counts. Much of those billions of dollars are distributed in the area of health care. For instance, in fiscal year 2016, $1,093,989,000 in funds for Medicaid flowed to the state. Other critical dollars for health care are also tied to the 2020 Census counts, including, <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$20,714,113 for health care centers;\n<li>$377,229,875 for Medicare Supplemental Medical Insurance (Part B); and\n<li>$78,155,073 for the State Children&#8217;s&#8217; Heathy Insurance Program.<\/ul>\n<p>Many other programs that impact UNMC students, faculty, staff and those they serve are impacted by census counts as well. For instance, the federal Pell Grant program, the federal direct loan program and the supplemental nutrition assistance program.  <\/p>\n<p>See a public service announcement from Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., of UNMC and the University of Nebraska at Omaha:<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MM8md3ibq_w\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>For the first time ever, the decennial census count of every person in the United States, the 2020 Census, can be taken online. It can also be taken by mail or phone in English and many other languages. To take the census online go to <a href=\"https:\/\/my2020census.gov\/\">my2020census.gov<\/a>. Nebraska residents should have received a 12-digit-census-id in the mail to begin the 2020 Census. Those who haven&#8217;t still can take the census online by answering some additional questions.  <\/p>\n<p>Paper forms will be sent to households that did not respond soon.  Complete the form and mail it in to be counted. Assistance is available by phone at 844-330-2020 (for languages other than English, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/2020census.gov\/en\/ways-to-respond\/responding-by-phone.html\">2020census.gov<\/a>).<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: none;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" title=\"
