Lisa Brand <\/strong>joins the GCHS as the new Program Manager for the Region VII Disaster Health Response Ecosystem (RDHRE), an expansion of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response's Regional Disaster Health Response System demonstration grant.  The grant has now expanded beyond Nebraska to include Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas. Lisa will oversee the execution of the grant program at the direction of principal investigators Shelly Schwedhelm and Dr. James Lawler. Lisa recently transitioned from the Army National Guard where she served as the Medical Operations Officer for the Nebraska Civil Support Team.
