The 68th annual meeting for the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiology will feature seven anesthesiologist speakers affiliated with UNMC, and is led by Program Chair and UNMC Pediatric Anesthesiologist, Jessica K. Goeller, DO. The online-only conference offers 30.5 CME credits and runs Saturday, Sept. 19, through Tuesday, Sept. 22.

\n"With record registration and world class speakers at our first fully-virtual event, we are excited to provide Vital Anesthesia Practice Optimization Review (VAPOR) for all physicians, nurse anesthetists, residents and fellows," said Dr. Goeller.<\/p>\n

The event has more than 450 registrants at the time of this writing. Last year’s annual convention saw roughly 250 attendees. Registration<\/a> is accepted through the conference dates. Registrants will have on-demand access to the content for two weeks following the live event.<\/p>\n

"It is very impressive, not only that Dr. Goeller is leading this National conference, but that she is doing so only six years after completing fellowship," said Executive Vice Chair of Anesthesiology Mohanad Shukry, MD, PhD. "Furthermore, she is using this platform to lift the voices of her colleagues."<\/p>\n

Dr. Goeller completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2014. She completed residency at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013, serving as chief resident in her final year.<\/p>\n

As program chair of the National conference, Dr. Goeller will deliver opening remarks each day, and is part of a physician cohort of conference moderators. She also helped manage selection of the 37 total speakers and their messages.
