Graduated 2015<br \/>\n<P><B>Residency\/fellowship at UNMC:<\/b> Residency in internal medicine. Fellowship in gastroenterology.<\/p>\n<p><B>Program directors:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>James O&#8217;Dell, MD (internal medicine)\n<li>Alexander Hewlett, DO, and Peter Mannon, MD (gastroenterology)<\/ul>\n<p><P><B>How long is your training program, and how long have you been at UNMC?<\/b><br \/>\n<P>Internal medicine is three years, GI is three years. This is my sixth year here!<br \/>\n<P><B>What do you like the most about your training program:<\/b><br \/>\n<P>For internal medicine, the training program here is really top-notch. There is a great level of acuity and variety. Wonderful inpatient, outpatient and sub-specialty experience.  <\/p>\n<p>For GI, this also is a top-notch program &#8212; very high acuity, very high volume endoscopy with a great amount of graduated autonomy. Also, there is  great mentorship that led me to advanced endoscopy as a career pursuit.<br \/>\n<P><B>What challenges do you foresee in graduate medical education in the future?<\/b><br \/>\n<P>Finding a balance of clinical work and academic interests.  Increasing amount of residency spots to fill increased amount of medical school spots.  Hopefully this will help nationwide physician shortage.<br \/>\n<P><B>List some accomplishments that you are proud of:<\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gold Humanism Society Induction\n<li>Rookie of the Year for Internal Medicine (2016)\n<li>UNMC House Officer of the Year (2018)\n<li>Staying at UNMC for GI fellowship<\/ul>\n<p><P><B>Tell us three things about you that others may not know:<\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My family grows table grapes, almonds and pistachios in Central Valley, California, where I grew up.\n<li>I am the youngest of four.\n<li>I am moving to Danville, Pennsylvania, next
