Kathryn Hutchins, MD, assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, will discuss “Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in Women: Today’s Approach,” at the next Olson Center for Women’s Health Brown Bag Lunch and Learn event.

The event will be on April 20 at noon-1 p.m.
\n

IBS is a common condition that can cause many uncomfortable symptoms. Sometimes individuals may think they have IBS but have not yet been diagnosed. Dr. Hutchins will define IBS and its subtypes, describe how it is diagnosed clinically and explain the common treatment and management approaches.
\n

Pre-register by emailing Candyce Dunlap<\/a>, calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345, or on Engage<\/a>. Viewing directions will be given to registrants prior to the brown bag presentation.

This lecture is free. The cost to obtain nursing credit is $10. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.
