“Conversations for Inclusive Excellence” will continue in May and June with innovative industry leaders discussing how to build inclusive cultures.

The campus community is invited to participate in the sessions hosted by the UNMC Office of Inclusion. Sheritta Strong, MD, director of inclusion, will moderate each session, which runs from 2 to 3 p.m. Zoom links can be accessed via the campus calendar.

Conversations for Inclusive Excellence to hold lunch event today.<\/a><\/b>

Presenters are:
\n

May 13:<\/b> Octavius Black, CEO of Mind Gym, which he co-founded in 2001. Black has worked with a multitude of firms in the S&P100, from Microsoft to MetLife, and various companies in the FTSE 100, from Unilever to GSK, to transform performance by changing the way employees think. Black has written for The Times, The Financial Times, and he write a monthly column in the business section of The Sunday Telegraph. He has made several appearances on the BBC.
\n

June 10:<\/b> Daisy Auger Dominguez, chief people officer at VICE Media Group (VMG). Dominguez has made it her mission to make workplaces more equitable and inclusive. She shapes, builds and reinforces the culture of the VMG teams, promotes professional growth, engagement and development, helps accelerate business performance and champions equitable and inclusive people, culture and corporate social responsibility practices. Prior to VICE Media Group, she founded and led Auger-Dom\u00ecnguez Ventures, a consultancy that transformed organizations by taking them from inclusive workplace culture theory to practice. She has designed and executed organizational transformations at Moody’s Investors Service, The Walt Disney Company and Google.

Sponsored by the Office of Inclusion, “Conversations for Inclusive Excellence” allow participants to engage in meaningful and, at times, uncomfortable conversations to co-create understanding. Participants also gain tools to continue the dialogue within their departments and offices.
