MMI’s Gutierrez receives Alice Friedlander Scholarship<\/b>

Parent resource coordinator Jessica Gutierrez is the recipient of the Nebraska Medicine Guild’s Alice Friedlander Scholarship.
\n

The guild cited Gutierrez’s academics, volunteer activities, employment history and reasons for applying. The scholarship committee called Gutierrez “a fine representative of our medical center to the community.”

MMI’s Sharif honored with Mary McHale Leadership Award<\/b>
\n

Graciela Sharif, MMI LEND progran associate and co-chair of the MMI Diversity Committee, was awarded the Mary McHale Leadership Award May 23 at the “Building the Future Gala” for the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands.<\/p>\n

Sharif, the mother of a young adult with Down Syndrome, was honored for her work to educate and empower parents and professionals as they work to improve the educational and health care outcomes of individuals with developmental disabilities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
