Failure to comply with UNMC\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine requirement will result in corrective and disciplinary action.<\/p>\n<p>UNMC faculty, staff and students need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be\u00a0<i>fully\u00a0<\/i>vaccinated by Friday, Oct. 22, or have an approved exemption, based on a recognized medical reason, sincerely held religious belief or pre-approved, 100% remote agreement. (The deadline to request an exemption was Sept. 15.)<\/li>\n<li>Friday (Oct. 8) is the last day to get a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccine in order to be fully compliant by Oct. 22. See the <a style=\"color: #954f72; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2021\/09\/14\/flu-covid-19-vaccination-clinics-begin-sept-23\/\">Nebraska Medicine schedule for COVID-19 (and influenza) vaccination clinics<\/a> on the Omaha campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>UNMC employees\/students who have clinical responsibilities at Nebraska Medicine must meet Nebraska Medicine\u2019s vaccination deadline (full vaccination required by Oct. 9). Likewise, employees\/students who have clinical responsibilities with other clinical agencies must meet their established deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>To be\u00a0<i>fully\u00a0<\/i>vaccinated before the Oct. 22 deadline, individuals must have received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson &amp; Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer) by Friday (Oct. 8), so that two weeks have passed since your last dose. Other vaccines that are listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) also are accepted. NOTE: Individuals are reminded that it takes five to six weeks to go from your initial dose of the two-dose vaccines to being fully vaccinated. If you get the Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccine, you will be fully vaccinated 14 days later.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/coronavirus\/vaccines\/index.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/coronavirus\/vaccines\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read a list of frequently asked questions about UNMC&#8217;s COVID vaccination requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you received your vaccine through the UNMC\/Nebraska Medicine employee clinics held in lower Storz Pavilion, your vaccine already is documented in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ssl.nebraskamed.com\/EmployeeHealthTracking\/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fEmployeeHealthTracking%2f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Tracking System<\/a>. If you received it elsewhere, you need to log in to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ssl.nebraskamed.com\/EmployeeHealthTracking\/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fEmployeeHealthTracking%2f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Tracking System<\/a>\u00a0and document your vaccine status.
