Gold, MD, said. &quot;Unfortunately, COVID-19 has left many of our fellow Nebraskans vulnerable, so I ask you to join me in making a much-needed contribution to this year&rsquo;s campaign.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>This year, employees will again have the opportunity to participate via three different pathways: the United Way of the Midlands campaign, Give Nebraska (formerly the Community Service Fund of Nebraska) or the University of Nebraska Foundation campaign.<\/p>\n<p>UNMC has a goal of 50 percent employee participation.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:#575757\">Why give?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yykVL3GeWFI\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">Hear from Chancellor Gold on why this year&#39;s campaign is important.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here are some details on this year&rsquo;s campaign:<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:#575757\">It&#39;s easy to give!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:disc\">\n<li>Click on this <a href=\"https:\/\/net.unmc.edu\/eserv\/\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">link<\/a>&nbsp;to access the UNMC eServ page.<\/li>\n<li>Sign in with your UNMC username and password.<\/li>\n<li>Once logged in, click on the links to the funds you would like to support.\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:circle\">\n<li>Click the &quot;<span style=\"color:#ff0000\">red<\/span>&quot; link to donate to the United Way of the Midlands.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &quot;<span style=\"color:#0000cd\">blue<\/span>&quot; link to donate to Give Nebraska.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &quot;<span style=\"color:#000000\">black<\/span>&quot; link to donate to the University of Nebraska Foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:#575757\">Donation options:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:disc\">\n<li>Employees can give by credit card on the online giving site, as well as through payroll deduction, cash or check.<\/li>\n<li>Campaign pledges, which can be made through UNMC&#39;s payroll deduction, are automatically withdrawn beginning in December for biweekly paid employees and January for employees paid monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:#575757\">Giving options:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Employees can direct their contributions to any of the following organizations:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:disc\">\n<li>United Way of the Midlands, which supports a variety of human-service program providers across the Omaha\/Council Bluffs area. United Way-supported programs create life-changing opportunities by meeting the basic needs of the area&#39;s most vulnerable populations, supporting children during their academic years and helping to prepare young people for productive careers. Click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedwaymidlands.org\/programs\/\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">here<\/a>&nbsp;to view a list of supported programs.<\/li>\n<li>Give Nebraska, which connects donors to the causes they care about most. With more than 70 non-profit agencies to choose from, you can determine where your money goes. A list of supported agencies can be found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.givenebraska.org\/member-agencies\/\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>University of Nebraska Foundation &#8211; UNMC funds. These funds directly support the UNMC community. Donors may direct their support toward any of 16 separate funds, which range from student\/employee disaster relief to research support and innovation for individual colleges. More information on these funds can be found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nufoundation.org\/give\/university-of-nebraska-medical-center\/\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:#575757\">Incentives:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>To help meet our campus goal of 50 percent employee participation, UNMC is offering incentives.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:disc\">\n<li>Those who pledge at least $10 total will be eligible to win a prize each week of the campaign. Donations made by Fridays at 3 p.m. qualify for that week&#39;s drawing, as well as subsequent drawings.<\/li>\n<li>The earlier you donate, the better chance you have at winning.<\/li>\n<li>Drawing
