Xinglong Wang, PhD,<\/span><\/b> pharmacology and experimental neuroscience, received a grant of $2,886,632 from DHHS\/NIH\/NIA for a study on FAM222A and amyloid plaque deposition in Alzheimer's disease.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew Vasey, MD,<\/span><\/b> internal medicine-general medicine, receive a grant of $821,490 from West Virginia University for the RECOVER initiative adult cohort<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Lie Gao, MD, PhD,<\/span><\/b> anesthesiology, received a grant of $517,639 from DHHS\/NIH\/NHLBI for a study on skeletal muscle Nrf2: Exercise-induced cardiovascular protection<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Caroline Ng, PhD,<\/span><\/b> pathology\/microbiology, received a grant of $308,979 from the U.S. Department of Defense for a study elucidating the malaria unfolded protein response<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Kelly Stauch, PhD,<\/span><\/b> neurological sciences, received a grant of $219,409 from the Michael J. Fox Foundation for a study elucidating cell type-specific PINK1 and PRKN expression in vivo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shanna Ratnesar-Shumate, PhD,<\/span><\/b> pathology\/microbiology, received a grant of $150,377 from the National Strategic Research Institute for UNMC support to NSRI for preliminary DARPA IV & V planning<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Rajendra Angara, PhD,<\/span><\/b> pathology\/microbiology, received a grant of $145,020 from the American Heart Association for a study of coxiella-mediated regulation of lipid droplet metabolism in Q fever endocarditis<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Susan Swindells, MBBS,<\/span><\/b> internal medicine-infectious diseases, received a grant of $110,820 from Boys Town National Research Hospital for multimodal Imaging of neuroHIV dynamics (MIND): An Omaha-Pittsburgh consortium<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Roslyn Mannon, MD,<\/span><\/b> internal medicine-nephrology, received a grant of $58,652 from the University of California-San Francisco for a study on applying precision medicine to optimize desensitization with noveL biologics or cellular therapies in highly sensitized kidney transplant patients<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Kajal Kamra,<\/span><\/b> anesthesiology, received a grant of $32,036 from the American Heart Association for a study of a novel mechanism of neural control of breathing in acute lung injury<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Wallace Thoreson, PhD,<\/span><\/b> ophthalmology and visual sciences, received a grant of $18,754 from Creighton University for the Translational Hearing Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joseph Americo Fernandes, MD,<\/span><\/b> neurological sciences, received a grant of $13,452 from Massachusetts General Hospital for a task order.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Coulter, MD,<\/span><\/b> pediatrics-oncology\/hematology, received a grant of $2,000 from Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania for work order on larotrectinib for previously untreated NTRK-fusion positive pediatric solid tumors and NTRK-fusion positive relapsd pediatric acute leukemias<\/span>.<\/p>\n
