When people join, they can search for and connect with other users, engage in conversations on the discussion board, become a member of their college or program&rsquo;s group and participate in programming.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other professional-networking sites, Alumni Connections offers unique perks that include: a matching quiz designed to suggest connections with complementary characteristics, a filtering tool to narrow user searches by specific criteria, a high message response rate and an automatic shared connection with every user on the site &#8211; UNMC.<\/p>\n<p>This month, the Alumni Relations Office has new programming planned on the platform.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Today from noon to 1 p.m.,&nbsp;Howard Liu, MD, chair and professor in the&nbsp;UNMC Department of Psychiatry, will host a live &#8220;ask me anything&#8221; chat on the discussion board. All members of the UNMC community are invited to participate and ask Dr. Liu a question. in the UNMC community are invited to <a href=\"https:\/\/connections.unmcalumni.org\/hub\/unmc\/groups\/women-in-healthcare\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join the new Women in Healthcare group<\/a> on the platform to find community through discussions, questions, encouragement, advice and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To join Alumni Connections, <a
