How long is your training program, and how long have you been at UNMC?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship is three years. I am currently in my second year of training. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>What do you like the most about your training program?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

I enjoy getting to learn from some great attendings in several sub-specialty areas of pulmonology and critical care. I really enjoy the variety of moving between settings (i.e., clinic, ICU, bronchoscopy suite) and meeting and interacting with different patients and their families.<\/span><\/p>\n

What challenges do you foresee in graduate medical education in the future?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

I believe that learning how to incorporate telemedicine into training is a current and future challenge. With millions of people living in medically underserved areas, all providers need to develop ways to reach and take care of patients that continue to need more complex care, despite the distance they live from major medical systems.<\/span><\/p>\n
