Gold, MD, on Thursday, June 2, from noon to 1 p.m.&nbsp;via Zoom.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Gold will&nbsp;be joined online by Anne Barnes, UNMC&rsquo;s new vice chancellor for business, finance and business development, and Mark Rupp, MD,&nbsp;chief of the UNMC Division of Infectious Diseases and Nebraska Medicine&#39;s medical director of epidemiology and infection control.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The campus will have the opportunity to learn more about Barnes, who joins UNMC after&nbsp;serving as senior associate dean for administration and finance at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Attendees also will hear more about recent increases in COVID-19 transmission and test positivity rates, as well as global cases of monkeypox.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Gold will discuss the latest on COVID-19 and campus safety guidelines and take audience questions.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees can view the forum online via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/info.unmc.edu\/unmc101\/forums\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zoom<\/a>.&nbsp;An American Sign Language interpreter will take part in the event.<\/p>\n<p>To ask a question in advance of the forum, email the&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:strategic-comms@unmc.edu\">UNMC Strategic Communications team<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chancellor Jeffrey P.
