It assessed each institution on three critical dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>The UNMC College of Nursing ranked:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No. 1 in Nebraska<\/li>\n<li>No. 2 in the plains region<\/li>\n<li>No. 24 among public nursing schools<\/li>\n<li>No. 41 overall&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below are the critical dimensions used to rank schools.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:disc\">\n<li>Academic prestige and perceived value (50% of overall score) &#8212;&nbsp;&quot;Prestige&quot; and &quot;value&quot; are typically difficult concepts to quantify. Quantitative measures included: Graduates&rsquo; ability to repay their student debt in a timely manner; professional designations (e.g., National League for Nursing Center of Excellence); grant funding for nursing research from the National Institutes of Health and number of years in operation, particularly at the graduate nursing education level.<\/li>\n<li>Breadth and depth of nursing programs offered (20% of overall score) &#8212; considered were the full range of undergraduate and graduate nursing programs offered by each school, including degrees, diplomas, and certificates as well as enrollment.<\/li>\n<li>Student success, particularly on the NCLEX licensure examination (30% of overall score), also was used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"color:black\">Registration now open for high-consequence pathogen conference<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">The UNMC Global Center for Health Security is partnering with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and UTMB Health to present a conference on &quot;Achieving Data Quality &amp; Integrity in Clinical Trials Involving High-Consequence Pathogens&quot; on July 11-13.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">World-renowned subject matter experts will discuss:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color:black\">Best practices for clinical trials during an outbreak involving high consequence pathogens (HPCs) while recognizing and preventing risks to data quality and integrity;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black\">Enhancing cultural awareness and diversity involving clinical trials in geographical locations where the incidence of diseases caused by HPCs is high;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black\">And other topics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">Registration is now open for the free hybrid course.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utmb.edu\/orncs\/regulatory-ops\/clinical-course\" style=\"color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline\">See more information and register<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color:#575757\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Food trucks on campus next week<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Food truck&nbsp;service on campus during the week of June 13-17 has been scheduled. Trucks will be on campus&nbsp;from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled food trucks include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>East end of campus&nbsp;north of the UNMC ice rink:<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday
