for dentistry dean<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color:#575757\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">Jennifer Larsen, MD, vice chancellor for research at UNMC, will join the search committee for the new UNMC College of Dentistry dean.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">UNMC&rsquo;s&nbsp;Bradley Britigan, MD, dean of the UNMC College of Medicine,&nbsp;will chair the committee,&nbsp;which includes representation from the medical center, as well as other leaders and dental professionals across Nebraska.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">College of Dentistry Dean&nbsp;Janet Guthmiller, DDS, PhD,&nbsp;will become&nbsp;dean of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry this fall.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Wendy Wells recognized as certified wellness practitioner<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Wendy Wells, College of Nursing West Nebraska Division population health and leadership instructor, recently was recognized as a certified wellness practitioner by the National Wellness Institute&rsquo;s Council on Wellness Certification Excellence.&nbsp;The institute is the only nationally recognized certification program for health promotion and wellness professionals in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The designation shows demonstrated expertise in the dimensions of wellness and competence in health and wellness promotion programming through their academic backgrounds, work expertise&nbsp;and commitment to professional development.<\/p>\n<p>Those with the certification use wellness models and interventions in partnership with individuals and populations, foster intrinsic motivation,&nbsp;empower others to engage in wellness-promoting activities&nbsp;and&nbsp;create wellness-enhancing
