Gold, MD, is scheduled to speak on video at the event, which will be held in the Olson Atrium in the Wigton Heritage Center on the UNMC Omaha campus.<\/p>\n<p>Other scheduled speakers, live or on video, will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dele Davies, MD, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs;<\/li>\n<li>Emily Glenn, who will become interim dean of the McGoogan Library;<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Gloden Carlson, JD, chief compliance officer, interim assistant vice chancellor of human resources;<\/li>\n<li>Janet Guthmiller, DDS, PhD, dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry; and<\/li>\n<li>Ali Khan, MD, MPH, dean of the UNMC College of Public Health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remarks will start at 2:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>McElroy will leave her position on Sept. 1 to become associate dean of research and health sciences at the University of Florida&rsquo;s George A. Smathers Libraries. Effective Sep. 2, Emily Glenn will assume the role of interim dean of the library.<\/p>\n<p>In her nine years at UNMC, McElroy &mdash;&nbsp;the first leader of the library to receive the title of dean &mdash;&nbsp;led many initiatives, including the opening of the Wigton Heritage Center. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2022\/07\/14\/mcgoogan-library-to-see-change-in-leadership\/\"
