If you have never participated in a book club before, you are invited to try it out and learn the joy of reading and sharing insights with others.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s book is titled, &#8220;Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges,&#8221; and is written by Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist and leadership teacher previously at Harvard Business School. Cuddy is known for her 2012 TED Talk on body language.<\/p>\n<p>More than half a million copies of &#8220;Presence&#8221; have been sold. The book discusses how far too&nbsp;often people&nbsp;approach life\u2019s biggest hurdles with dread and leave with regret. But&nbsp;by learning to access personal&nbsp;power, people&nbsp;can achieve &#8220;presence,&#8221;&nbsp;in which they stop worrying about the impression they make&nbsp;on others&nbsp;and start being their&nbsp;best selves.<\/p>\n<p>The book club discussion will be led by Jess King, education and research services librarian at the McGoogan Health Sciences Library, and Peter Pellerito, fitness specialist at the UNMC Center for Healthy Living.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning Sept.&nbsp;8, the book club will meet every Thursday from noon to 12:30 p.m.&nbsp;via Zoom for a total of four meetings. Members are expected to attend every meeting. There is no&nbsp;cost to participate in the book club aside from the cost of the required book.<\/p>\n<p>To register or for more information, call the Olson Women&#8217;s Health Resource Center at 402-559-6345. Membership is limited and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested&nbsp;participants must register by Sept.&nbsp;1.<\/p>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" style=\"display: none;\" title=\"OGkYC
