UNMC is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all members of the campus community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKeeping our university and our faculty, staff, students, visitors and patients safe is a group effort,\u201d said Charlotte Evans, chief of police and associate vice chancellor of the UNMC Department of Public Safety. \u201cThat round-the-clock work begins by being informed and observant of surroundings and working closely with the Public Safety team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UNMC Department of Public Safety has \u2014 in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1990, 20 U.S.C. Sec 1092 \u2014 released its annual Campus Safety and Fire Report, which includes information relating to crime statistics and policies concerning public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Department of Public Safety website<\/a> includes helpful information on how to report a non-emergency incident or safety concern.
