Fellows were chosen for \u201ctheir outstanding contributions to the association as well as the field of redox biology, free radical chemistry and antioxidants,\u201d according to the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m humbled to be included with this group of prestigious investigators of free radical biology research,\u201d Dr. Oberley-Deegan said. <a href=\"https:\/\/sfrbm.org\/about\/fellows\/\">See more about the SRBM Fellows<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UNMC faculty among honorees at Children\u2019s Hospital &amp; Medical Center<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC\u2019s clinical partner Children\u2019s Hospital &amp; Medical Center held its inaugural Endowed Chair Investiture Ceremony on Sept 21. Children&#8217;s President and CEO Chanda Chac\u00f3n hosted the event, where several UNMC faculty who work at Children&#8217;s were recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Endowed chairs were awarded to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maegen Wallace, MD: <\/strong>Dr. Paul and Bernadette Esposito Endowed Chair for Children&#8217;s Bone Disorders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jeffrey Delaney, MD: <\/strong>Theodore F. Hubbard, MD, Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cardiology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jill Beck, MD:<\/strong> Children&#8217;s Endowed Chair in Pediatric Hematology\/Oncology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shirley Delair, MD: <\/strong>Children&#8217;s Endowed Chair of Pediatric Infectious Disease<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Arnett Klugh III, MD:<\/strong> Children&#8217;s Endowed Chair in Pediatric Neurosurgery<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paul Rychwalski, MD:<\/strong> Dr. John and Irene Graether Endowed Chair in Pediatric Ophthalmology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four UNMC endowed chairs in pediatrics were Sparks Chair of Pediatric Research <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newly awarded endowed professorships went to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mohanad Shukry, MD: <\/strong>Carol Lydiatt, MD, and Dan Lydiatt, MD, Professorship of Pediatric Anesthesiology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jorge Galvez, MD: <\/strong>Jane Kugler, MD, and Douglas Vonderfecht, MD, Family Professorship of Pediatric Anesthesiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dean Britigan nets Honorary Alumnus Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bradley Britigan, MD, <\/strong>Stokes-Shackleford Professor and dean of the UNMC
