However, it wasn\u2019t until I was introduced to the management of patients with medically refractory epilepsy in residency that I fully understood the impact that proper care can have on these patients\u2019 lives. Epilepsy is a disease that has numerous psychosocial implications outside of seizures themselves and managing these patients with a multidisciplinary team can be challenging but very rewarding. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Memberships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>American Epilepsy Society<\/li><li>American Clinical Neurophysiology Society<\/li><li>American Academy of Neurology &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Three things people don\u2019t know about me:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I was not born musically inclined, but I am learning how to play the piano.<\/li><li>My husband and I have two adopted black cats.<\/li><li>If I weren\u2019t a physician, I would be a
