The interim title has been removed, and Sarah Gloden Carlson, JD, has been named UNMC\u2019s permanent assistant vice chancellor and director for human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made by Anne Barnes, vice chancellor for business, finance and business development. The change became effective Oct. 1. Gloden Carlson will continue to serve as UNMC\u2019s chief compliance officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSarah is an outstanding fit for this critically important role that serves at the crossroads of our incredibly complex organization,\u201d Barnes said. \u201cWe are quite fortunate to have someone of Sarah\u2019s caliber available to take on this role.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gloden Carlson had been serving in the interim HR role since Feb. 1, 2022, and fills the seat left open when Aileen Warren, the former associate vice chancellor and executive director for UNMC\u2019s human resources, left UNMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gloden Carlson joined UNMC in 2016 as the chief compliance officer. She previously worked at the University of Nebraska Foundation, where she was the director of development for the UNMC College of Nursing. Prior to that, she was assistant dean and director of communications for the University of Nebraska College of Law. Carlson received her JD from the University of South Dakota School of Law.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
