To execute on their mission, UNMC\u2019s student-led SHARING and RESPECT clinics need volunteers to supervise and teach the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese clinics have been around for 25 years and provide a great way for students to learn about their practice,\u201d said Kevin McGuire, UNMC Medical Laboratory Science Program. \u201cIt\u2019s also providing a great service to people who need it the most.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patients who meet income criteria can seek care at the SHARING Clinic at no charge. The RESPECT Clinic is open to anyone. Students from the UNMC College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Allied Health Professions can choose to volunteer their time in one of the clinics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order for these clinics to continue their mission, they need clinical employees from Nebraska Medicine to supervise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals who can volunteer as faculty preceptors include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Physicians<\/li><li>Advanced practice providers<\/li><li>Laboratory staff trained in blood collection<\/li><li>Pharmacists<\/li><li>Social workers<\/li><li>Physical therapists<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/sharing\/clinics\/respect-clinic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>RESPECT Clinic<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Offered Monday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m.<\/li><li>Durham Outpatient Center, level five (inside Internal Medicine \u2013 Primary Care Clinic)<\/li><li>Focused on sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/sharing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>SHARING Clinic<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Offered Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.<\/li><li>Durham Outpatient Center, level three (inside the Family Medicine Clinic)<\/li><li>Focused on providing primary care health services, with psychiatric services provided on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Tuesday<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone would like to
