But Dr. Kotwal, along with help from his colleagues, did something few doctors will ever do. He discovered his own thyroid cancer \u2014 the very same cancer he often diagnoses and treats in his patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Kotwal, also an assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine&#8217;s Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, became the subject of a national story featured on NBC&#8217;s Today Show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See how Dr. Kotwal has used this
