{"id":93961,"date":"2022-12-01T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-01T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=93961"},"modified":"2022-12-01T15:41:15","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T21:41:15","slug":"indispensable-teresa-pisasale-honored-with-gold-u-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2022\/12\/01\/indispensable-teresa-pisasale-honored-with-gold-u-award\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Indispensable&#8217; Teresa Pisasale receives Gold U"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Teresa Pisasale, senior software engineer in IT Development and Operations at UNMC, is the December Gold U Award winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am incredibly humbled to receive this award,\u201d she said. \u201cThis award is a reflection of all the people who allow me to bring their ideas to life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pisasale joined the med center 26 years ago. She works with UNMC research departments to develop online applications that address the unique needs of each department.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracie Clemons, compliance coordinator and liaison, praised Pisasale\u2019s work applications, saying they surpass commercial products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo say she is indispensable is an understatement,\u201d Clemons said. \u201cTeresa doesn\u2019t stop until a problem is fixed, and her work ethic goes beyond any expectations. She serves a lot of different groups but treats us all as her top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTeresa has the superior ability to understand what is needed and find solutions for the end user as well as those implementing day-to-day processes,\u201d administrator Beth Blackburn said. \u201cShe strives for excellence as she is constantly seeking solutions for improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crediting her customers and colleagues, Pisasale said she enjoys building relationships with individuals across the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have a great manager who allows me to make decisions that work specifically for my support areas,\u201d she said. \u201cThe development team that I work with are talented and committed to being successful, and my customers are amazing.&nbsp;I would not be able to accomplish anything without these groups of people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pisasale said she values the variety of projects she gets to work on and the freedom to be creative and think outside the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the end, the reward of creating something that enhances the work life of customers is fulfilling and gives me a sense of purpose,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pisasale is a senior software engineer in IT Development and Operations who works with research departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":75,"featured_media":93962,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"92208,34708,47088,39729,52357,71806","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-93961","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","topic-inside-unmc","topic-research","department-human-resources","department-unmc-today-todays-headlines","author_override-megan-guenther-unmc-strategic-communications"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>&#039;Indispensable&#039;
