As part of De-Stress Week, the UNMC Omaha campus will hold a donation drive for the Nebraska Medicine pediatric patient unit on Friday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the UNMC ice rink Those who provide a donation valued at $10 or more will receive a UNMC scarf (while supplies last).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeing a kid in the hospital \u2013 anytime, but especially during the holidays \u2013 to put it simply, stinks,\u201d said education services-hospital teacher Lisa Gulseth. \u201cHaving books, games and different activities for our patients to utilize during their stay makes the time go more quickly. To help lower the spread of infection across patients, all our books, games and activities are for one-time use. Therefore, we go through items quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur department is grateful to the campus community for providing a drive to help us restock these items for our patients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
