As of Dec. 22, Workday will no longer be supported on mobile devices running on Apple iOS 14 or earlier. Then on Feb. 1, Duo Mobile will no longer be supported on mobile devices running on Android 8 or 9 or Apple iOS 13 or earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These deadlines are driven by vendors and not determined by UNMC or Nebraska Medicine Information Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to keep personal mobile devices on the most up-to-date operating system. Not only do operating system updates deploy important security fixes for the device operating system, the updated operating systems are what application developers use to develop applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Older operating systems often are not able to support the most up-to-date applications, which typically are the most secure versions of the applications and have all of the new functions and features.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If users have an older operating system and already installed these applications, IT anticipates the applications will continue to work as long as they aren\u2019t removed from the device. If users have an older operating system and have not already installed these applications, IT anticipates that users will not be able to install them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IT recommends updating to the most updated available operating system version for a device to stay up to date on applications and security on the device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
