{"id":94584,"date":"2022-12-21T16:05:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-21T22:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=94584"},"modified":"2022-12-21T16:54:13","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T22:54:13","slug":"essential-staffing-for-nebraska-medicine-goes-into-effect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2022\/12\/21\/essential-staffing-for-nebraska-medicine-goes-into-effect\/","title":{"rendered":"Essential staffing for Nebraska Medicine goes into effect"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Due to the winter storm warning issued for the area, Nebraska Medicine has declared essential staffing effective from 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, until 7 a.m., Friday, Dec. 23.&nbsp;Current weather forecasts call for 2 to 4 inches of snow and wind gusts between 40 to 50 miles per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All staff required to be on-site to provide patient care or patient care support should report to work as normal.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This includes Nebraska Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center and all health center sites, including Grand Island. All will be open as usual.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University Health Center in Lincoln and the UNO Health Center will be closed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colleagues able to work remotely should do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This information will be relayed to patients through the media, the Nebraska Medicine website and social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, normal operations are expected to resume as normal at 7 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 23. If this changes, additional instruction for colleagues will be sent through internal communication channels and relayed to patients through the media, the website and social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All colleagues can park in any employee lot through Monday, Dec. 26, but must obtain prior authorization from Parking Services (402-559-8580) before parking in patient\/visitor lots.
