{"id":94975,"date":"2023-01-09T01:48:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T07:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=94975"},"modified":"2023-01-06T13:56:01","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T19:56:01","slug":"nominations-open-for-faculty-awards-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/01\/09\/nominations-open-for-faculty-awards-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations open for Faculty Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>To recognize faculty for meritorious teaching, mentoring or service, the UNMC Faculty Senate is inviting nominations for the following awards:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Outstanding Teacher&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outstanding Mentor of Junior Faculty&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spirit of Community Service&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Persons holding faculty appointments at UNMC are eligible for nomination for these awards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nomination forms and selection criteria are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/info.unmc.edu\/blog\/facultysenate\/award-forms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Faculty Senate web page<\/a>. Forms also may be obtained from the Office of the Faculty Senate, 559-5132 or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:mariza.hoffman@unmc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mariza Hoffman<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations must be emailed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, as one document in PDF format, to the Honorary Degrees &amp; Awards Committee, c\/o <a href=\"mailto:facultysenate@unmc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Office of the Faculty Senate<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards will be presented at the Annual Faculty Meeting on April
