{"id":95039,"date":"2023-01-10T01:58:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-10T07:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=95039"},"modified":"2023-01-09T15:56:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T21:56:42","slug":"davis-named-to-joint-leadership-roles-in-dermatology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/01\/10\/davis-named-to-joint-leadership-roles-in-dermatology\/","title":{"rendered":"Davis named to joint leadership roles in dermatology"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Lindsey Davis has been named the new leader for the joint leadership position of ambulatory clinics director for Nebraska Medicine Dermatology and department administrator for the UNMC Department of Dermatology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Davis joins dermatology after successful roles as the manager of the Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health and the ENT clinics. Davis has a strong background in ambulatory operations and team development since joining Nebraska Medicine in 2016. She also has a master\u2019s degree in health administration, as well as master\u2019s and bachelor\u2019s degrees in sports science and health education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are ecstatic to welcome Lindsey to our dermatology team,\u201d said Ashley Wysong, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Dermatology. \u201cLindsey brings a strong leadership background from Nebraska Medicine and will help lead our clinical, education, research, and outreach teams to continued growth and excellence.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Davis will report to Tom Macy, vice president, operations, for the Nebraska Medicine clinic operations and to Dr. Wysong for the UNMC Department of Dermatology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to work with Lindsey in this new leadership role,\u201d Macy said. \u201cShe has focused on and taken the steps necessary in her professional development to prepare herself to take on this new responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike McGlade, senior associate dean for administration and director of finance for the UNMC College of Medicine, said the college was excited to welcome Davis to the administration team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHer knowledge and background positions her to assist in the continued growth and development of the dermatology department as they further their tripartite mission of education, research and patient care,\u201d McGlade said. \u201cIn her new role, she will join more than 50 other departmental and division leaders across the college all working together to make the college as successful as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Davis assumes the role as Kara Tomlinson moves to her new role as executive director, system care delivery and innovation, Nebraska Medicine. Tomlinson worked extensively with Dr. Wysong on the launch of the UNMC Department of Dermatology and the related clinical operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Davis will start in her new role on Monday, Feb.
