A rebranding in the corporate world of information security has led to the renaming of a software running on med center work stations, laptops and servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2022, FireEye and McAfee Enterprise became a new brand and company named Trellix. For the last year, Trellix has been rebranding the FireEye software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, med center computers may have flashed a message about FireEye being disabled and the Trellix software being started. The change appropriately raised concerns across the med center.<\/p>\n\n\n

IT staff discovered this change only after it occurred. The new icon in the system tray is an “X” on white background, as shown to the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
