One week remains for challenge donors to sign up for UNMC Giving Day \u2014 For the Greater Good, March 30-31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC and the University of Nebraska Foundation are seeking sponsors for the inaugural giving day event. Nearly $19,000 in challenge funds (and counting) have been committed thus far. Sponsors provide challenge funds of $250 or more to encourage others to give and help spread awareness for the campaign. To learn more about becoming a challenge sponsor, contact Janelle Domeyer by email<\/a> or 402-504-3328. The deadline is March 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The giving day website, available at this link<\/a>, also is open for gifts; anyone who makes a gift totaling $65 or more will receive a UNMC fleece blanket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To honor UNMC\u2019s founding in 1869, the philanthropic event will last for 1,869 minutes (about 31 hours). The event will start at 10 a.m. March 30 and conclude at 5 p.m. March 31. The goal is to receive 1,000 gifts from UNMC alumni, friends and grateful patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The giving day will advance UNMC by supporting scholarships, colleges, student organizations and UNMC\u2019s clinical partners and institutions. Student groups<\/a> have until March 17 to register to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nebraska Medicine, UNMC\u2019s primary clinical partner, also is participating in the giving event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
