{"id":98174,"date":"2023-04-10T02:02:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-10T07:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=98174"},"modified":"2023-04-17T15:25:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T20:25:54","slug":"arthur-james-md-to-address-equity-as-visiting-scholar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/04\/10\/arthur-james-md-to-address-equity-as-visiting-scholar\/","title":{"rendered":"Arthur James, MD, to address equity as visiting scholar"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The UNMC College of Public Health and other UNMC and community partners will host Arthur James, MD, as a Community Scholar in Residence April 10 through 13 to address equity in health care and birth outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, April 11, at noon, the College of Public Health will host Dr. James for a grand rounds presentation titled, \u201cBirth EQUITY in Nebraska.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>View Dr. James&#8217; grand rounds presentation here: \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/446c1560-5dd7-43e3-9177-c5300e4a1481\/public\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>His visit, supported by Magda Peck, ScD, and James Anderson, PhD, through the Catalyst Fund, also includes speeches <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/03\/30\/pediatrics-chri-speaker-to-address-equity-in-birth-outcomes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">at Children\u2019s Hospital &amp; Medical Center<\/a> at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, and at the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. James is a retired obstetrician, gynecologist and pediatrician.
