Occupational therapy faculty launch digital journal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC Occupational Therapy program faculty have launched a new journal, “Translational Science in Occupation.”<\/a> Stacy Smallfield, DrOT, associate program director and doctoral capstone coordinator, Nicole Martino, PhD, assistant professor, and Nancy Krusen, PhD, program director, began the journal to freely exchange knowledge about the occupation and practice of occupational therapy to advance health and wellness. Two student teams also were instrumental in this project development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe purpose of the journal,\u201d Dr. Krusen said, \u201cis to challenge assumptions, inspire conversation and facilitate communication by publishing material relevant to practice, education, research and policy to advance health and well-being. We accept a variety of submissions including research, reviews, scholarship of teaching and learning, humanities and knowledge exchange pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journal invites submissions from persons across professions and countries to address occupation and translational science. Each submission will describe how knowledge users were included. The journal is digital only and open access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food truck on campus this Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paddy McGown\u2019s food truck will be on campus on Wednesday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The truck will be parked outside the Davis Global Center on the corner of 42nd<\/sup> and Emile streets.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
