Amy Mead, with Nebraska Medicine emergency services, will present a free webinar on \u201cDecreasing Compassion Fatigue in the Workplace: the Journey to Compassion Satisfaction for Healthcare Workers\u201d on Tuesday, May 9, at noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compassion fatigue can occur in health care workers, but there are questions about why and whether it is a symptom of burnout. Mead will describe workplace wellness initiatives that can foster compassion satisfaction, as well self-care techniques to help build resiliency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This webinar, presented by the Olson Center for Women’s Health and UNMC College of Nursing, provides nursing credit at no charge and is open to everyone. To attend, register online<\/a>.
