The UNMC College of Public Health\u2019s Master of Health Administration program achieved candidacy status from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education, placing the program one step closer to accreditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This comprehensive accreditation process is a means for our program, faculty and administration to demonstrate that the MHA program is committed to preparing students and professionals with not only the knowledge, but also applied skills that carry with them throughout their careers,\u201d said Nicole Kolm-Valdivia, PhD, MPH, assistant dean for academic affairs in the College of Public Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2017, UNMC\u2019s fully online MHA program aims to address the growing need for health administrators in the United States and around the world. It committed to seeking accreditation from CAHME to demonstrate the quality and rigor of the program and to advance a continuous improvement process within the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHealthcare administration and management is a dynamic and progressive field, our MHA program looks to be at the forefront of building leaders who can take on the challenges of health administration, domestically and internationally,\u201d said Ronnie Horner, PhD, chair of the UNMC Department of Health Services Research and Administration. \u201cWe look to provide the type of program that is adaptable, applied, and impactful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
