In his latest \u201cHealth Care Heart to Heart\u201d podcast<\/a>, UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, speaks with Dan Anderson, MD, PhD, chief of the UNMC Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, about heart health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Anderson and Dr. Gold, who is fond of joking that he is \u201ca recovering cardiothoracic surgeon,\u201d speak about the things they wish people knew about heart disease, the importance of prevention, how lifestyle affects the heart, how COVID impacts heart health and the importance of health screenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Anderson also shares the story of how he decided to follow his passion into cardiovascular medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Gold\u2019s discussion with Dr. Anderson now is streaming. \u201cHealth Care Heart to Heart\u201d posts new podcasts about twice a month, as Dr. Gold speaks to national, regional and local health care leaders on issues of importance.
