Michelle Burnett, DNP, RN, CNOR, EMT-B

Clinical Assistant Professor, UNMC College of Nursing

308-865-1070

Michelle Burnett began her career as a CNA in 1986 in a nursing home.  In the years to come, she would achieve every level of nursing available - care staff member, LPN, LPN-C, ADN, BSN, MSN, and DNP. She has worked in med-surg, operating room, long-term care, emergency, labor and delivery, and memory support. She took 15 years off from furthering her education to focus on her children and her farm/ranch but continued to learn and grow. Education and teaching have long been her goals because it is up to those who have worked to pass on the experience and knowledge to those coming up; getting the next generation prepared to carry the torch.
