Why I chose a PhD in nursing:


I love the scientific process, increasing the body of knowledge, and saving lives.

Research/professional interests:


Burn care, mental health parity, holistic health, moral injury and secondary trauma in critical care nursing staff.

What I like about UNMC:


I like UNMC’s reputation for rigorous infection control research and triage training.

  • I have three young children at home
  • I have an ear for learning languages, but not the memory
  • I initially intended to study ethnomusicology in college, but switched to nursing after watching a simulated code
