The Dean's Teaching Excellence Award

  The Teaching Excellence Award: Dean of the College of Nursing acknowledges a current full or part-time faculty member for his/her teaching excellence. Nominations from undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and alumni are encouraged.

  The Teaching Excellence Award: Rosalee C. Yeaworth acknowledges a current full or part-time faculty member for his/her teaching excellence. Nominations from undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and alumni are encouraged.

The Ada M. Lindsey
Professional Service Award
Deadline: March 15
 
 
  The Ada M. Lindsey Professional Service Award acknowledges a current full or part-time faculty member for his/her service (clinical practice or professional service) excellence. Nominations from undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and alumni are encouraged.
 
 
  Eligibility:  
  All current full and part-time College of Nursing Faculty are eligible for nomination. The award is given annually. In odd years, the award will be for excellence in Clinical Practice, and in even years, the award will be for excellence in Professional Service. This year (spring 2016), the award will be given for excellence in Professional Service.

Kathryn Sandahl Philp Award
for Creativity and Innovation

  Kathryn Sandahl Philp is a UNMC CON alumna. This award was established in her honor by her daughter. The intent of the award is to acknowledge and support faculty creativity and innovation in any of the following areas: teaching, research, or practice/service.
 
 
  Eligibility:  
  All current full and part-time College of Nursing faculty are eligible for nomination. Nominations must be for an individual and not for a team.

The Pennie Z. Davis
Faculty Research Award

  Pennie Z. Davis supported many philanthropic efforts in Omaha and was a fervent supporter of scholarly endeavors. He established this award to recognize the contributions to nursing science of a College of Nursing faculty researcher.
 
 
  Eligibility:  
  Current full time College of Nursing faculty who have an active research program are eligible for nomination.

Donna Westmoreland Excellence
in Faculty Mentoring Award

  Donna Westmoreland was a spirited nurse educator who believed that mentoring and coaching were the best methods to enable faculty to discover their voice and develop their unique capacity as a teacher and scholar.
 
 
  Eligibility:  
  All current full time College of Nursing faculty are eligible for nomination. A candidate qualifies for this award who has demonstrated excellence in mentoring faculty or graduate assistants in teaching or teaching scholarship.

  The award will be presented to a staff member who has made exemplary contribution to the College of Nursing in the past year. Criteria for this award includes: 1) embodies excellence, 2) customer service 3) respects individuals for their cultures, contributions and points of view.

  Current College of Nursing staff holding an FTE of 0.5 or greater having worked since January 1, 2015.

  The award will be presented to a staff member who has made exemplary leadership contribution to the College of Nursing in the past year.
