Darrel Moreland has been part of University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing since January 2022. Additionally, he has acted as an Advance Practice Provider with Nebraska Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry since April 2021. He received his MSN from UNMC in 2020, his BSN from Clarkson College in 2017, Nursing Diploma from Clarkson College in 2014, and BA from Creighton University with a focus in psychology and sociology in 2006. Mr. Moreland has over 10 years of experience working in various psychiatric settings. He has functioned as a nurse at CHI Immanuel Medical Center Inpatient psychiatric units. Additionally, he has worked in correctional facilities, outpatient clinics, community-based health clinics and residential treatment centers. Most recently, he has begun teaching clinical courses, starting with Creighton in 2020.He is interested in working with patients with severe and persistent mental illness.
